In direct response to feedback, we’re excited to release a new feature that allows dealers to remotely access Nexia-enabled Trane and American Standard connected controls. Once access is granted, the dealer is then able to see exactly what the homeowner sees on their end—and can view, edit, and adjust settings on the control if necessary.
How to speak to homeowners about this new feature:
When you request access to their control, homeowners will see a request for “Remote Access” on their Nexia mobile app, thermostat, or MyNexia.com. It will also state the amount of time you’re requesting access for: 1, 4, 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours.
Be sure to emphasize the convenience and flexibility of this new feature. First and foremost, let customers know they can avoid unnecessary service appointments by allowing limited access to their connected control. It also allows your customers to have peace of mind about their system and their home, because you are able to monitor their system remotely, and then identify and resolve potential issues in a timely manner.
By improving the customer experience and avoiding unnecessary truck rolls, remote access is a win for both you and your customers!
