Prevent callbacks and unnecessary truck rolls with the new Nexia™ Diagnostics feature: Dealer Remote Configuration (DRC)
In response to user feedback, we are excited to announce a new feature that allows dealers to remotely access Nexia-enabled American Standard connected controls.
Dealers simply request access through Nexia Diagnostics on a Flash- and Internet-enabled computer. The homeowner is notified of the dealer’s request through MyNexia.com, the Nexia mobile app, or their thermostat. When they click “Allow” to grant access to the dealer, the dealer is then able to see exactly what the homeowner sees on their end.
Dealers can then access the following functions:
- Adjust set points, configurations and scheduling screens
- Update ZIP Code
- Service Menu screens
- Thermostat reboots
- Confirm and/or adjust post-install or service appointment configurations
Check out more details in this short training video.
Key Benefits
- Serve customers more quickly and efficiently—troubleshoot and provide a better customer service experience
- Avoid unnecessary truck rolls and prevent callbacks—remotely verify or adjust settings or correct technician errors
What are other dealers saying about this new feature?
“This is ridiculously cool, I love it. We had an issue with our installers setting the wrong amount of indoor heat stages. I was able to remote into a customer’s thermostat and change it.”—Travis Ringe, HVAC General Manager, ProSkill Plumbing Heating & Air
“I have been playing with this feature to see what I can and can’t do, and this is awesome. Once the customer can give permission from the app, it will be a serious game changer.”—Paul Angel, Operations Manager

Please note: In the next couple of months, we will let homeowners know about Dealer Remote Access, so they will recognize when you are requesting access and know how to respond.
