Eric Weiss will represent the American Standard brand when he presents “Zoning for Comfort and Reliability” during the 2019 ACCA Conference and Expo, March 4–6, in San Antonio. His session will be 7:15 a.m.–8:45 a.m. on March 5, during the Contractor University portion of the conference.
During his segment, Eric will discuss what happens to a proper system design when supply ducts start closing. He said he will, “show how to manage excess air to maintain system reliability and homeowner comfort, referencing Manual Zr to accomplish this.”
Eric currently serves as a technical trainer with Ingersoll Rand Residential HVAC. He has more than 25 years of HVAC experience, spanning from technician and dealer to factory technical support and new product development. He is an ACCA Certified trainer for Manuals J, D, & S and a contributor to Manual S.
Eric said he enjoys working with those who are installing our products to assure they are following the proper application and system design. “It’s critical that it is done right,” Eric says. “A system that isn’t installed properly will have issues and that will affect business. The homeowner is frustrated with the system and the dealer is frustrated with our product offering, and much of this can be minimized through proper application.”
