Consumer Reports recently released new ratings for Heat Pumps and Gas Furnaces. These results are available online only with print publication. American Standard had great results that add to our central AC results from last spring:
- American Standard was rated Top Tier for Gas Furnaces, Heat Pumps, and Central Air Conditioning Systems regarding Owner Satisfaction.†
- American Standard was rated Top Tier for Heat Pumps regarding Reliability.††

† A national product testing and research magazine found American Standard Gas Furnaces’, Heat Pumps’, and Central Air Conditioning Systems’ Owner Satisfaction to be Top Tier in a 2018 Winter Survey and 2019 Summer Survey of 48,318 gas furnaces and 12,463 heat pumps, owned by members who purchased a new unit between 2003 and 2019; and in a 2017 Fall Survey and 2018 Summer Survey of 21,770 central air conditioning systems (based on the proportion of members who are extremely likely to recommend their central air conditioning system to friends and family), owned by members who purchased a new unit between 2007 and 2018.
