We recently announced our 2030 ESG commitments to meet the challenges of climate change while increasing access to air conditioning, perishable foods and medicines, and improving the quality of life for people and communities where we operate and serve. During the last week of September, Ingersoll Rand Chairman and CEO Michael W. Lamach, along with leaders from Trane® and Thermo King®, took the stage at Climate Week NYC to share our latest sustainability efforts with the world. Climate Week NYC brought together some of the world’s most influential leaders and offered the perfect platform for us to lead by example. In addition to highlighting our 2030 commitments, we announced additional sustainability pledges, including:
Accompanying Lamach were Dave Regnery, Executive Vice President of Ingersoll Rand, and Scott Tew, Executive Director of the Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand. They spoke about our organization’s progress at sessions such as Climate Group’s Heating and Cooling The Next Frontier, 2019 Concordia Annual Summit and the Bloomberg Global Business Forum. Topics discussed ranged from economic mega trends to decarbonization strategies, all while describing our role in initiating positive global change.
